Galvanic protection stations (protectors) are applied for cathode protection of underground metal constructions in case if application of externally power-supplied stations is economically unfeasible: no electric main, small length of an object, etc.

Usually, the protectors are used for cathode protection of tanks and pipelines that do not have electrical contacts with neighboring communications, certain parts of pipelines, which do not have sufficient protection level from transformers, electrically cut off from main pipeline by insulating connections, and also for steel protective housings (shells), underground tanks, steel supports and other objects.
